Vi er nu igen vågnet op til en ny udmelding fra den amerikanske præsident, der nu har udpeget en særlig udsending til Grønland. Det kan lyde stort. Men det ændrer ikke noget for os herhjemme.
Vores fremtid afgør vi selv. Grønland er vores land. Vi har vores eget demokrati, vores egne beslutninger og et stærkt fællesskab, som står fast. Grønland er grønlændernes og man skal respektere teritoriel integritet.
Vi samarbejder gerne med andre lande, også USA, men det skal altid ske med respekt for os og for vores værdier og ønsker.
Der er ingen grund til utryghed. Vi står sammen og vi står fast.
Statement from the Prime Minister of Greenland.
We have once again woken up to a new statement from the American president, who has now appointed a Special Envoy to Greenland. It may sound significant. But it changes nothing for us here at home.
Our future is decided by us. Greenland is our country. We have our own democracy, our own decisions, and a strong community that stands firm. Greenland belongs to the Greenlandic people, and territorial integrity must be respected.
We are happy to cooperate with other countries, including the United States, but this must always take place with respect for us and for our values and wishes.
There is no reason for concern. We stand together, and we stand firm.
