The world has turned its attention to the Arctic. It is mainly because of warming, the economic potential and the geopolitical implications of changes in the Arctic. These challenges provide the Arctic and the global community with both challenges and opportunities. They also concedes challenges and opportunities to Greenland, Greenlandic communities and nature, which is centrally located in the Arctic. Greenland as self-government has legislative and administrative competences with their own strategies, but also within the Kingdom demands good cooperation and a common strategy for the Arctic.
