Public consultation on Guidelines for submission of scope of project for off shore hydrocarbon exploration activities
The Environment Agency for Mineral Resources Activities hereby presents a draft Guidelines for submission of scope of project for off shore hydrocarbon exploration activities for public consultation.
The Environment Agency for Mineral Resources Activities has drawn up the guidelines in accordance with Article 84 (1) in The Mineral Resources Act.
The Guidelines represent a revision of Appendix F in the present Appendices to BMP Guidelines for application, execution and reporting of offshore hydrocarbon exploration activities (excluding drilling) in Greenland.
The guidelines are revised because of a general need for an update and because of the new regulation regarding pre-consultation, which entered into force on July 1, 2014. In essence, a public pre-consultation shall be held for 35 days for a scope of project, if the project must be assumed to have significant impact on the environmental or socioeconomic conditions.
The guidelines include the requirements for drafting a scope of project and a timeframe for the process.
