Public consultation on the reports on Environmental Impact Assessment and Social Impact Assessment, which were prepared in connection with True North Gems’ application for an exploitation licence for the ruby and Sapphire occurrence Aappaluttoq at Qeqertarsuatsiaat/Fiskenæsset.

True North Gems are applying for an exploitation licence for a ruby project in the area Aappaluttoq at Qeqertarsuatsiaat/Fiskenæsset.

The area applied for is seen in figure 1. The area applied for in True North Gems’ application for an exploitation licence is marked in blue. The map in the lower left corner, shows the areas location in Greenland.

The public consultation consists of the following documents:
• Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) in Greenlandic, English and Danish.
• EIA appendices in Greenlandic, English and Danish.
• Social Impact Assessment (SIA) in Greenlandic, English and Danish
• SIA executive summary in Greenlandic, English and Danish

Purpose:

Responses to the public consultation on the documents mentioned above should be sent to the Bureau of Minerals and Petroleum, postbox 930, 3900 Nuuk, Greenland or on e-mail to bmp@nanoq.gl no later than Thursday the 12’th of September.
Everyone is welcome to respond to this public consultation.
